We are delighted to share with you news of the publication of the book edited by our colleagues Alina Silveira and Paula Seiguer,  Encuentros y tensiones entre Sudamérica y Gran Bretaña, Buenos Aires: Teseo, 2026 available in Open Access and including a chapter of relevance to the study of the Hispanic-Anglosphere: Graciela Iglesias-Rogers, “El papel de la Hispanic-Anglosphere (anglósfera hispánica): Un estudio inédito de la relación de José de San Martín con James Duff, 4.º conde de Fife” also available to download freely (click links on the titles).

The book brings together a selection of papers stemming from an international conference held in 2025 at the Universidad de San Andrés in Argentina. The event sought to explore historic ties between South America and Great Britain, marking the bicentennial of the treaty that formalized relations between the United Provinces of the Río de la Plata and the United Kingdom. There are chapters on a wide variety of topics, including on Chilean and UK relations.
